Online Commercial Assistance Towing (CAT Endorsement)
This CAT endorsement is for captains who potentially wish to work on assistance towing vessels (i.e. Seatow®, TowboatUS®) or may offer the services directly for hire.
Any USCG licensed captain - from OUPV up to Master - is eligible and for this valuable CAT endorsement. Once on your license, it remains there indefinitely whether or not you engage in CAT.
Written Exam:
Upon completion of this 4-hour online course, you will take written final exam administered at The Nautical School. To sit for a proctored exam you simply call The Nautical School to arrange for the multiple-choice 20-question examination.
